Building a Field of Dreams: Byne Students and Tom Pinson of Game On Baseball Team Up for Field Makeover

Last Saturday Byne High School students assisted Tom Pinson and the A.D., in the beginnings of our baseball field makeover. 

Tom Pinson of Game On Baseball Training has graciously agreed to donate his time, expertise, and equipment to help BCS with resurfacing our infield. Tom is a former MLB draft pick and has helped other area schools look their best on the baseball field.

Five BCS Baseball hopefuls, (Logan, Luke, Jackson, Conner, & Evan) all worked for about six hours assisting with reshaping, sod cutting, leveling, and even laying new sod in the outfield/soccer field. 

The final product will include a newly leveled, seeded, and irrigated infield with a brand-new pitcher’s mound and defined transitions between dirt and grass. The outfield will also be seeded and patched as needed. 

We are sowing seeds early in anticipation of continued growth for Spring sports here at Byne.
