Byne Christian School Welcomes Brannan Anthony as New Varsity Boys Basketball Coach!
Byne Christian School is excited to announce the hiring of Brannan Anthony as the new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach! Coach Anthony brings a wealth of basketball knowledge, coaching experience, and a deep passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court.
A hometown native of Albany, Georgia, Coach Anthony’s basketball journey began right here in Southwest Georgia. After coaching for one season at Terrell Academy, he transferred to Kennesaw State University, where he remained involved in the game by serving as a basketball student manager and later as the Video Coordinator. His experience at Kennesaw State laid the foundation for a career in coaching and sports development.
Coach Anthony went on to serve as an assistant coach at the junior college level at Northwest Florida State College and later took an assistant position at the NCAA Division II program at the University of Montevallo in Alabama. His time at these programs sharpened his ability to train and mentor student-athletes, instilling both technical skills and a strong work ethic.
After years of coaching at the collegiate level, Coach Anthony returned home to Albany to launch a sports-focused marketing business, using his knowledge of athletics to help organizations grow and succeed. Now, he brings that same drive and leadership to Byne Christian School as he steps into the role of Varsity Boys Basketball Coach.
Please join us in welcoming Coach Brannan Anthony to the Byne Christian School community! Prospective players for the boys basketball team are invited to a lunch meeting Tuesday, March 18, at 12:40 pm. Coach Anthony will host a Parent Meeting & open gym on March 25 at 6 pm.
