Back to School Policy Updates

Excitement was in the air at orientation as friends reunited and students met with teachers. As your family prepares for the first day of school, we wanted to provide a few updates to our handbook that will help you plan for an amazing year.

1- Students will experience a lot of grace the first 2-3 weeks of school as school uniform store issues are corrected. Please attempt to follow the policy as closely as possible in the meantime.

2- On the first day of school all parents are welcome to walk their children to class. After the first day of school, only parents of students in K3-2nd grade may walk their children to class in the morning. All K3-2nd parents must exit the building by 8am or go to the office to receive a guest badge.

3- Boys’ hair should not go below the collar or cover the face.

4- All shorts for both boys and girls must be at least finger-tip length.

5- All student lockers must be secured by a combination lock.

6- Students must leave their smart watches, tablets, mobile phones in their locked lockers from 8am until 3pm to encourage conversation, community, and focused learning. Students who are found with electronic devices will be required to take their device to the office until a parent picks up the device from the office. Additional disciplinary measures for repeat offenders will be applied. Parents may reach their student at any time by calling the school office.

If you have any questions about the above-mentioned updates or any other item, please contact the office.
